Whats in my makeup bag?

It is pretty well known that I am a complete makeup hoarder. I have it lying around everywhere, and you can always find at least one lipstick and powder in every handbag I own that has been left behind from some event or party. So you can pretty much guess how packed my makeup bag that lives in my handbag is. One of the big things that I always believe a makeup bag should have is enough products to do a whole face of makeup. I mean you never know when you will need to either change the look you have on or worst case scenario it all gets washed off during the day. Basically what I am saying is that I never like to be caught off guard because all in all, you never know what life is going to throw your way.

Brushes

Starting off with the probably easiest thing in my makeup, bag which is the brushes I always carry with me. They are the MAC Oval 6 brush and the Trish McEvoy 65 contour brush. For me, I prefer only having two brushes with me as I use one for wet or cream products and the other for my powders. I tend to use the MAC one for the cream products; I don't love this brush (which is why it's in my makeup bag rather than my real kit) mainly because I just really don't get on with the oval type brushes. I find them way too fiddly to use and that it spreads the makeup way to thinly than I like. But it is quite good for touch ups. The Trish brush is a pretty basic contour brush, the reason I do love having it in my bag is that it is incredibly easy to clean. One swipe on a tissue and it is back to being colour free.

Skin

Luckily due to the amount of foundation I  wear on a daily basis and how I set it (blog post to come). I don't usually need to top it up during the day; typically I just need to blot so for this I use Beauty Blender's Blotterazzi, this thing is a miracle worker. All day long my skin looks completely flawless and no shine what-so-ever. When I do need to use products during the day, this is normally when I'm bored as I tend to touch my face a lot when I have nothing to do. I always carry with me my MAC Pro concealer and correct palette in light. I don't usually use any MAC products as I find them to be quite oily and they just don't sit right with me. But I love this pallet for touch ups as it has a lot of shades to choose from and is also handy if I want to share with a friend. Next, I have the foundation I carry with me. This is a foundation that I never wear, I got it at a CVS in Florida, and it is Covergirl's Simply Ageless in 205. It is the sort of foundation that you carry for absolute emergencies but never actually wear. Lastly, I have the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Glow and Bronze. I love this duo I think it is absolutely stunning and is one of the few contour palettes that as a pale girl I can actually wear.

Eyes

Again due to the amount of products I use I don't tend to top up my eye makeup, but it is always nice to be prepared. I always no matter what carry with me my Eyeko Mini Skinny Eyeliner. This always has and always will be my favourite felt tipped eyeliner. The colour is heavily pigmented and glides on super well unlike many others I have tried and trust me when I say I have tried a lot. The mascara I am using at the moment is Emotion Allowed by Icona Milano its in my bag as more of a tester as I haven't really had the chance to use it. I have used it a few times out and about, and I have to say I have been pleasantly surprised by it. The last product in the eye category is the tinted Eyebrow Mascara by NYX in Blonde; I don't have a lot to actually say about this product. I have used better, and I have used worse its one of those that just gets the job done.

Lips

Okay, I admit it I love lipstick, and yes this is the exact amount of lipstick I carry around with me at all times. It's got a lot better I used to take 15 with me. I think I have a problem... Because I love them all and I believe that it would be unfair of me to pick a favourite I think I am just going to list them all for you; Lime Crime Velvatines in Pink Velvet, MAC Retro Velvet in High Heels, Kylie Matte in Mary Jo, Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Backstage Bambi, Nars Matte Lip Pencil in Bahama, Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Colour in Passion, Temptation and obsession. Last but not least My favourite EOS Lip balm.

So I hoped you enjoyed this little peak into my bag, I am absolutly loving doing much longer post like this and getting so much more in depth than I have in the past!

See you next week,

New Year, New Me, New Schedule

Can you believe it is 2017?! I still can't believe it; I feel everyone has gone through a lot in the past few months, and that is was definitely time for a change in everyone's life., starting with mine. As you all know, last year was a bit of a roller coaster for me, making me a bit stressed out, to say the least. So this year I have decided that I want to create as little stress as possible. Which is why I have decided that instead of doing my usual four posts a week I will now be doing one post a week and this will be every Sunday.

Unfortunately, this does mean that there will no longer be a psychic Sunday series, but don't stress too much! I will be doing a psychic themed post every third Sunday of the month. So in a way, there still will be psychic Sundays...Kind of. This will be full of lots of things that I have never even explored before or never had the time to go into great detail with.

This leads me onto one of the biggest benefits of posting a post every week. It does give me the opportunity to go into greater detail with all my posts and to actually spend the time I want to on them and also FINALLY have some more original images. As I have never had the time in the past to get them taken and edited in time. So this time around not only are you going to get more pictures in each post but also a lot better quality! That is the one downside to always pumping posts out; you really let many things slip through the cracks.

I can safely say that for the first time in quite a few months I feel I will be able to enjoy my blog again. For quite a long period I completely lost my passion for this blog, which is so sad as this blog has my entire heart and soul in it. I am going to thoroughly enjoy truly getting into each post and creating some really amazing content for you all.

I can promise you know 2017 is going to be a fantastic year for this blog. I have so many exciting things in the pipeline and countless projects coming up which has kept me more than busy. Seriously. I need some sleep.

Starting the year off right

So this year I have decided my new year's resolution is to get healthy, I say a lot that I am going to do this. It's always on a Sunday night when I have pigged out on chocolate so much so that I feel sick. I decided that I am going to have a huge turnaround and be this health guru like Gwenyth Paltrow on Goop. I even have got to the point of putting all the gym gear I am going to be working out in and then just laying on my bed most of the day. Yes, I said lay on my bed all day. I think people dont understand how lazy I am. I am quite happy to do nothing when I say nothing I literally mean nothing. I'm not even on my phone most of the time. Just sitting there staring into a blank space.

BUT this year I am going to change all that (hopefully we all know what I'm like when I say I am going to do something), I am going to start eating healthy. Which I have already begun and I have also hired a personal trainer! Which should be interesting as I have not worked out in about three months, so I am very out of shape at the moment.

The reason behind the post being I always feel people work better when they work together. So if there are any people out there who would like to join me on this challenge feel free to do so, I'm going to try and tweet a lot more so you can chat with me on there.

New Year!! - Psychic Sundays

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

Dont hate me but todays post is going to literally just be this as I am at this very moment prepping for what is going to be the best year yet for this blog. So do stay tuned. Below is a Tarot spread that I do at the begining of the year so do give it a go as I always find it insightful.

Most wanted

My most wanted at the moment is actually something that I kind of already own. It an acrylic makeup organiser. As I said I do in fact already own one, well I own a few Muji acrylic draws stacked on top of each other. They are absolutely perfect; I don't really have any fault with them. The only thing I will say is that some of the draws are tricky to open and sometimes get stuck which is irratiting as I then have to wait until they decide to open to use whatever is in it. So you can imagine how badly I want to get a new one and that new one it the GlamourCube Tall from GlamourLiving.
Please dont judge this picture, it was the only one I could find.
Im not even lieing when I say I am absolutly obsessing over this thing. The draws are all the right height for all different types of makeup aswell as having dividers into seperate everything. I mean you all know me and how much I love to orginise things. This is like heaven to me.

Random look into my life - Current obsession

Just so you all are aware of random things in my life, I am currently listening to this album none stop at the moment. I am a great believer in listening to every kind of music, and you will always find me listening to an array of music from The Faces to Frank Sinatra or like at the moment Little mix.

Nail soak recipe

As you all know by know I am in college for hair and beauty, one of the main rules, when you go into training, is that you can not have acrylic nails. This is down to an array of reasons, mainly you could jab someone in the eye with them but also when you are washing hair you can get water underneath them, and this leads to mould which leads to infection, you get the idea. So after having acrylics on for most of my teenage life it was time for them to go, as you probably can guess this was a sombre occasion for me. I mean I love my nails more than I will ever reveal, I feel like I should have had a funeral for them or something.

After taking them off by soaking them in acetone for about 40 minutes (they were very thick). I saw the horrific state that my nails were in underneath. Which I am not showing you as they where that bad.
So now not only do my nails look utterly horrific they also feel that way. I think because I have had no breathing time my nails have just given up on me. I have never in my life had my nails actually become painfull, at all times during the day no matter what I was doing they hurt. I think they where taking revenge on me.But luckily after I did this homemade nail soak they felt 100x better.
So this is a recipe I made up as I went along. All the ingredients I used all have their individual qualities on your nails, the majority of them being for hydration. Which is definitely what my nails needed. I soaked each hand for 15 minutes then rubbed in all the excess and slept with it all still on. By the morning my nails were as good as new! It was like there was no damage at all.
