But if you are a follower of my magazine (which I hope you are) you would have seen my latest tutorials. I did three very simple Halloween looks, the idea idea behind it was I had a lot of friends who had left things very last minute and didn't know what to be for Halloween so I thought Id to a quick video with things you could easily find in your makeup draw.

YouTube takeover!

Hello everyone! Over the past few weeks I have been trying to figure a way that I could get back into the swing of blogging. I mean you know me I'm always in and out of it. But recently I have been more open up to the idea of starting a youtube channel. I have tried a few times in the past but have always felt very uncomfortable with it as believe it or not I hate being in front of the camera. I don't really know why but I just absolutely hate it!! So here is my fist video, do tell me what you think of it as I would love to know. I should also tell you that I have decided that my blog will get to see the video's 12 hours before it gets release on youtube as a little treat for you all.

28 Day Detox - day 4 'the start of the spring clean'

Good evening, today the beginning of my spring cleaning started!! Hallelujah, praise the lord! Today has been a quite but hectic day, so lets run through my it shall we? I woke up reasonably early (kind of), I then had my SkinnyMint morning tea whilst trying to entertain my dogs. Then I pretty much did nothing all morning, well nothing interesting. I answered a lot of emails wrote a few blog posts ect.  Then in the afternoon my day became a lot more productive, I managed to do all the shopping for my sisters birthday (thank god for online shopping!) I can't tell you yet what I got for her as she may pop onto here to see if I actually have said anything about her presents (Nice try Jo!). I then got started on my bedroom spring clean and by that I mean I cleaned all my makeup brushes. Now I actually haven't cleaned my brushes in a while, I know its shameful. Only because I absolutely hate cleaning them, It is just so boring and takes so long! But thankfully I have found a solution, it is called the brush doctor. My god it is brilliant! It is actually to clean paint brushes but it does the job for makeup brushes just as well. I think because it is for paint brushes that it gets the makeup of really quick, obviously makeup is a lot easier to remove than paint so thats probably why.

Brush Doctor

I think I shall leave todays post there as I am absolutely exhausted! Tomorrow Im going into my offices so I can show you a bit of behind the scenes at what its like at the Disorder HQ.

28 day detox - day 3 'oh i do like to be by the seaside'

Hello everyone, don't hate me that this is a very late post but it is actually 11:25 pm at the moment so technically, TECHNICALLY I am still on day three. The reason that this is such a late post is that I was in fact at Southend today. For the people that don't know what Southend is, it is a little seaside town here in England. Now as you can imagine the beaches here are very different to other countries. They are windy, cold, wet and just a bit miserable to be honest. But that doesn't seem to stop us going down there and dipping our feet in the water only to run away with fear of frostbite.

But one of the things I personally love about British seasides are the arcades, yes I know I sound like a 12 year old. Honestly though it is the best part and my favourite machine is the 2p pushers. I could actually spend all day on them. But after about 2 hours on them I was finally dragged away by my mother, where I found an electric shock chair to say it was interesting would be an understatement.

I was a bit terrified on the chair.

As for my detoxing today I had my Skinny Mint tea this morning and my Night Cleanse tea. But I did have a bit of a cheat day with my food because I had a ham burger and chips as well as a few glasses of white wine. But today was a fun, guilt free day which I think everyone deserves one and a while (even if it is at the beginning of a detox...woops.).

28 Day Detox - day 2 'an unproductive start'

As you can all tell by the title day two of my detox month has been pretty unproductive. Lets start with this morning shall we? I got up at 9:30 and had my Skinny Mint morning tea with a slice of toast . I then went over some emails, wrote a few articles and just worked really for a few hours. I then went on a bit of a family outing with my mum and sister to have lunch at M&S (Got to love their new Deli bars!!), I had the most incredible Bolognese with a gorgeous glass of white wine. So by the time I got home it was about 3 and it was a bit late to really start anything big. So I sat down with Jo (My sister) and started to create her blog. Which should hopefully be up soon so make sure you go and check it out when it is up!

I know I said in my last post that I would be doing a spring clean today, but honestly I just haven't had the time! I may see if I can give it a go tonight but if not don't shout at me!! Tomorrow should be a fun day as me, my sister and mother are spending the day in Southend with my family. If you see me about make sure you come and say Hi! I am going to be bringing my big camera so hopefully I can get some amazing shots for you all. So I think tonight will be really just getting ready for tomorrow, I need to empty out my handbag, have a bath and do all those boring things. I will speak to you all tomorrow, let me know how you are all doing with you detox month.

28 day detox - day 1 'the begining'

Hello everyone! Welcome to day 1 of my detox month. So the reason behind this all is lately I feel like I have gotten out of my normal routine. I think everyone gets like this sometimes, you just get into bad habits. For example I have been getting really up late, procrastinating A LOT and just in general not being my usual self. So I thought Id spend a month (well 28 days) getting back on track. I also thought it would be fun to share this journey with all of you and hopefully you can all join in to!

Step one of my detox is to start with Skinny Mint Detox Tea. The one I have is the 28 day two step tea, but I believe you can also do a 14 day one. It starts off with a Morning Boost (which is what I have had so far), I have to say it tastes amazing! One of the things that normally puts me off of detox tea's is that sometimes they taste so strong you struggle to keep them down. Luckily this tasted so good that I actually enjoyed drinking it with my morning toast.

As for today it been pretty lazy for me, which is very typical for my Sundays. I don't know about you but I tend to stay in my pyjamas all day and watch movies and just chill really. But tomorrow should hopefully be more busy, I'm doing a spring clean of my room (should be interesting) also I'm going to be doing lots and lots of shopping for my little sisters birthday next week. So that should be very very stressful!! I hope you enjoy your night I personally have just had my dinner and I'm just about to have my Night Time Cleanse Tea. Then I will probably go watch some Netflix and go to sleep. Can you tell I live a wild and fun life?

You can buy Skinny Mint tea here. Tweet me your detox month pictures with #DetoxMonth

Summer Daze

Hello everyone! How are my fellow Britons enjoying the weather? Are you dying like I am? Incase you don't know England is suppose to be enjoying one of our famous heat waves. Which as you all probably know, as English people we do not do well in hot weather. Give me cold and rain any day because this I just can't deal with!! So I thought I'd give you all reminders about how to keep sane in this weather, because it is so important that you all keep safe and covered as you could do yourself some real damage in this heat.

  • Drink cold liquid regularly as you don't want to become dehydrated at all! Trust me its awful.
  • Smother yourself in some suntan lotion (at least factor 30) as you all obviously know the dangers if you don't!
  • Try to have breaks from being out in the sun (e.g Sunbathing). Go inside get a drink, check twitter and Instagram.
  • Remember to eat!! I don't know about the rest of you but as soon as it gets hot my appetite just disappears and I could happily not eat all day. So I pretty much have to force myself to sit down and have a sandwich.
  • My favourite one.. If you get really overheated run the back of your wrists under some ice cold water and it cools your whole body down.

Thats pretty much it for today, I didn't really want to bombard you with tips as Im sure like me you're fed up with hearing the BBC go on and on about it.  I hope you enjoy the rest of your day, and heres to July being the best month yet.

cee jay ell

As many of you have over the past day or two I have been deeply saddened by the terrible news of the attacks in Sousse. I can not express how tragic this awful event is and I'm sure you all feel the same way. I think it really hit home for me this morning when I heard of the death of the beautiful Carly Lovett, whom I had the absolute honour of meeting at one of the many Beauty blogger event held last year. Carly was a beautiful, genuine person inside and out who who had a passion for what she loved you rarely ever see. I can not even think about what her loved ones must be going through right now. But I do know that the Beauty and Bloggers community have lost one of their own yesterday and when you are as tight of a family as we are; it hurts. So here's to the beautiful Carly Lovett A.K.A Cee Jay Ell.

Frequently Asked questions

As my blog is growing and more people are discovering it. I find lots of people are asking me many questions. Whether it is about my personal life or my blogging life there always seems to be curiosity there. So I thought it was about time I did an FAQ post so people can get the answers that they clearly want.

Is that your real hair?
Yes, yes it is in fact my real hair.

How did you come up with your logo?
It is very simple actually. Well obviously it has my name underneath so that was the easy bit. The diamond is there simply because it really just describes me in just a tiny shape. A very blinged out diva.

Will you ever bring out your own make up line?
l would absolutely love to bring out my own makeup line but unfortunately l have never had the opportunity do so. But I can promise you now that if I ever do get the opportunity to you will be the first to know.

l am so sorry if I haven't updated it is always down to one of two reasons. Either life has gotten in the way and I haven't had time to sleep let alone write or I am in hospital, which happens a lot and by a lot I mean at least four times a month.

What camera do you use to take your photo's?
I actually use my iPhone as it has a really nice camera on it. It is also really quick and easy for me as I am not that good at taking pictures..

Why did you start your blog?
I actually get asked this question so much that I made an 'About Me' page that explain why and how I made my blog.

Can I add you on Facebook?
Unfortunately I  can't have everyone who reads my blog on there as I have a lot of personal things on it. But feel free to follow me on Twitter or Instagram.

Graduate Fashion Week Makeup Round Up

As you can already tell this is a very brief round up of GFW's best make up looks. All done by the lovely Bourjois. This year had so much variety in looks it was insane. One show would have a very clean natural look then the next would be very bright and bold. So I feel this is going to be a great season for makeup and you're really going to see some original things. I can't wait!! A how-to Post for each of these looks will be up soon.

Its That time of year again..

Hello everyone, while most of you are getting ready to enjoy this beautiful weather that we are apparently getting soon. The fashion industry in London are preparing for the biggest annual event for the designers of the future. Thats right its time for Graduate Fashion week. Which just so happens to be my favourite event of the year, as not only does it show the next stars of fashion just the atmosphere there is incredible. You get to experience first hand the buzz and excitement of the fashion industry and most importantly you get to see the chaos it all is.  Which is why if you are any way interested in fashion you need to be at GFW15.

Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation

Hello everyone long time no talk, huh?    Recently I have been absolutely obsessing over the Nars
All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation. I have never in my life had a foundation quite like it. To start off it is virtually weightless, if anything it feels more like a light weight serum rather than an actual foundation.

But even though it does feel really light it still has extreamly full coverage. I have always found it very hard to believe that a light weight foundation could actually have full coverage as that just doesn't  really compute in my head as actually working. Which is why this foundation blew my mind! One layer of this stuff and I looked like I had been airbrushed to the max (seriously I didn't even recognise my skin). Which for someone who suffers from severe acne and acne scarring it is a dream come true!!

So this is defiantly an all round winner for me and is absolutly a foundation everybody should have in their make up bag.

My New best friend

I am sure I have told you all this many of times, but my hair is an absolute nightmare!! I know it looks good and like it would be the most easiest hair in the world to maintain. But trust me it isn't. One of my main problems is how easy it tangles, and when I say tangles I mean dreadlocks. I end up having to brush it at least four times a day to keep it even remotely knot free. But like some angel who has come to answer my prayers I was sent the AirMotion hair brush.

I can not even begin to tell you how brilliant this is for troubled hair like mine. I just love it, it pretty much never leaves my side, I need like 10 more (if someone is listening) just so I can have one in every room as well as my car and handbag. As you all know I'm not the best at detailing all the specs for products, so I thought I would leave it up to the experts.

The way he uses so many different textures and prints I think just looks stunning. So I thought that you should all have a look, I couldn't really decide on 2 or 3 so there is a lot!! Enjoy.

Beauty Mistakes i used to make

Recently I discovered some old pictures of me from when I was about 13/14 years old and it made me realise just how awful I actually was at make up. Before you ask no I am not showing the pictures.Trust me you don't need to see that. But it got me thinking who in the world is good at make up when they first start?! Because god knows I wasn't! I made many mistakes that I really, really wish I hadn't had made. So I thought i 'd make a list of said mistakes so you at home know you are not alone!

1. Foundation lips - It does not look 'cool' at all. Don't try to kid yourself. It just seems like you don't in-fact have any lips at all.

2. The wrong shade of foundation - I don't think I really need to explain this one. Just...No..

3. Lip liner darker than your lipstick - Now don't get me wrong this can look stunning, I mean I do love this look. Sometimes. But when you are 13 and have a red liner with a pink lip, it is not a great idea.

4.The dreaded black eye- I'm pretty sure we have all done it, when you first try a black smokey eye you end up looking like you have been punched in the face. Need I say more?

5. The foundation line - Blend. That's all I'm going to say about this one.

So I hope this has got you thinking of the beauty mistakes you use to make, or maybe you didn't have any. After all they say you shouldn't live with any regrets.

Scrub-A-Dub-Dub Lets Clean That Brush..

Hello everyone, today I have a much awaited post. I can defiantly say this has been my most requested post ever. You all seem to want to know how I clean my make up brushes, which I totally understand because even I have a weird interest in how other people clean their make up brushes. Now I have gone through many ways of cleaning my brushes; Ive tried with my hands, letting them soak and even just spot cleaning them (which I do not recommend as it does not clean them at all). But the way I clean them at the moment is defiantly the best I have come across. So lets start with the products I use which are the 2X SIGMA SPA® BRUSH CLEANING GLOVE and some good old Johnson and Johnson baby shampoo. Both of which I can now not live without, the Sigma brush cleaning brush has halved my brush cleaning time and gets my brushes super clean and the baby shampoo is by far the best brush cleaner I have ever used. It gets them squeaky clean and make them extremely soft.

So to start off I pour a tiny amount of baby shampoo into the 'Wash' section of the brush. Now the best thing about this clove is it has two sides for cleaning face and eye brushes. This side is the face side as it has bigger bumps for all the fluffy brushes to go through.

I then quickly run my brush under my tap and mix it with the shampoo in a circular motion. So it gets nice and bubbly, you can also see all the makeup in the bubbles...Its gross.

After its all soaped up I run it through the 'Rinse' section. This is the straight lines at the end of the glove, you gently run it up and down this until the water coming of it is nice and clear. Like the picture below. If not then repeat again and again and again.

After finishing cleaning I run it through the 'Refine' section which is the bit in-between the thumb and rest of the glove. This shapes the brush swell as getting rid of any excess water.

Now lastly its time to leave the brushes to dry. Now I personally leave them overnight to dry but if you don't have time you can always just get a hairdryer to dry them. It actually makes them a lot softer just remember to dry them on a low heat if not on the cold setting so you don't damage the hairs.
So the best way to dry your brushes is to have them upside down (with the brush end facing down) or at a slight angle. I use a bar that is on the back of my wardrobe (I have no idea of its original use) and just get a elastic band to hold them up.

Hopefully this has given you some idea on how I clean my brushes. It is a long and very boring process which usually takes me about 3 hours a week. Which is why I dedicate my Sundays to it. But it is something that must be done!

Last thing I would like to thank my sister for being the stunning hand model in this and also taking that stunning picture at the end. If you follow me on Twitter and Instagram you can actually see her taking the picture...It was a bit of a process but it turned out great!

Topshop AW15

Here are some of my favourite looks form the Topshop AW15 as well as little video showing the brains behind all thing's beauty for the show.
