Monthly favourites

I actually can't believe it is that time of the month; I know that I say that every month but this one seems to have gone by a lot faster. Maybe because last month I was in America, so it went by a lot faster. This month I have been working like mad! Every day I have been out the house early and not getting home until about 10 pm. So everything for me has been things that I can do in a hurry, which again is something I say every month.
I recently brought this bottle one day while I was at work. When I am talking for about 5 hours straight it is nice to have some water near by. I wanted a bottle that didn't look ugly and unprofessional but was still very me. So I thought this bottle was perfect! I can have the pink sleeve on while I am out and about as I do tend to drink eight glasses a say, so I need to have this on me at all times. But during work hours I can take off the sleeve, and it still looks beautiful.

I love this little eyeliner, unlike my other eyeliners, this is, in fact, a felt tip one. I have never really gotten on with these type of eyeliners as for me after about three days they are either empty or all dried up. I have no idea why but I think they just all hate me. But for some reason, this one seems to love me. I have used this pretty much every day this month, and it has yet to dry out of empty out. So that is the reason it is on this months favorites list.

I have no idea why but this month I have been back into my Naked palette. I use to wear it every day and live life by it. But then I moved onto other things, mainly Kat Von D's eye contour palette. So it was a bit of a shock for me when I found my naked pallet at the back of one of my draws gathering dust. So I thought I would start using it yet again and fell in love with it all over again. I honestly forgot how pigmented all the colours and also how long they lasted.

This product is one of the best sheet masks's I have ever owned. We all now how much I love my Maskeraide Sheet mask's with all their hydrating glory. But sometimes it is nice to have a mask that actually will unclog all your pores and just make your face feel clean again. This was when I discovered this Mud sheet mask. Yes, you heard me right Mud sheet mask. It's just the best idea in the world any by God it works. My skin felt better than if I had gone to a spa and spend £200 on a facial.

Nude Lips
Lastly with a quick one, I have been loving nude lips at the moment. Which you all know is very strange for me as I am definitely a red lip girl. Maybe this mean an end of an error?

One of my all time favourite products

I am so excited to share this product with all of you; this is one of the best things I have every brought in my life. I got it while I was in the states at an Urban Outfitters. Which by the way I had never been to, they are AMAZING Why did no one introduce me to them earlier? One thing that I love about them is they have a very indie/hipster Beauty section which we all know I am a sucker for.  It is where I found this clay detox powder, the actual reason I brought this was a joke. My mum and my sister always think I am Edina from Ab-Fab and in one episode she has a mud-wrap to get rid of an inch of fat. She ends up having the bandages taken off only to find no mud and that her body had absorbed all the mud causing her to gain 12 inches over her whole body. Which according to my family is something that would happen to me.

But after using about a spoon of this stuff in my bath, I found out how amazing it is! I have always known how well anything to do with clay/mud is at drawing things out of your pores, but I never realised how good it could be. After about 24 hours of my first try at this, all my acne on my body (shoulders, back, arms) Had completely gone. It was like my entire body had a face pack on. There are a few other uses for this product that I have yet to try out as I wanted to share it with you all first but I can tell you now if they are anywhere near as good as the bath then I can not wait!

For best results, do not use with metal utensils or containers. Use with nonreactive wood or plastic.
For bath: Place one half to one cup of Detox Bath powder in warm bath water. Mix into water and relax. Let the Detox Bath gradually remove impurities from your body.
For body wrap: Make a paste with a half cup or less of clay and water. Mix until smooth. Apply on specific parts of the body or all over. Let dry for thirty minutes, then rinse.
For slimming and tightening the skin: wrap clay covered areas with a cloth or plastic. Keep on for one hour while doing light exercise.Do not wrap more than twice per week.

Learning Palm Reading - Psychic Sundays

I have many psychic things that I have mastered but one thing that I can not do that I so wish I could is palm reading. I have seen many of the girls at work do it and they are so amazing at it. So I thought it was about time I did. So look forward to many updates about this journey!!

My love for Barbie has no limits

You all know I love pink. There is no question about it. But I never actually wear it, I am a person who lives in black. I love wearing black I find that everything goes and with my hair and skin tone it gives that shocking look. One thing I do like to do now and then is show my love for pink through accessories. Now I'm not saying I will wear a little pastel pink. If I am doing this, I am going full out. So when I do wear pink accessories, I tend to wear the neons. Which brings me onto the point of this post. I am in love with this shoulder bag by Victoria Lam; she is one of my favourite bag designers. I find the way she cuts them just incredible.

My favourite Band

I get asked a lot about my taste in music as it is a bit..questionable. I like an array of music. I think that's how I will describe. I like pretty much any music it was very much the way I was raised. But without a doubt my favorite band at the moment is Dorothy. They are a rock band, but I think for me the way they are is an excellent representation of who I am.

Give them a try here, my favorite songs at the moment are Raise Hell and Dark Nights.

My Go-To Lipsticks

Every person around the world who wears makeup will tell you they have those few products that they know without fail they will not only look good in but know they go with everything.  So as you can see below this is my list. Yes, I know they are very bright and more like statement lips but I'm sure you all know me by now and know that bold lips are all I really wear. But the thing I love about these three colours is that I know that whatever I am wearing they always look amazing.
Lime Crime - Pink Velvet
I'm sure you have all seen me rave so much about this colour. This was actually a birthday present from my sister and I have pretty much worn it every day since. I don't feel I need to explain too much why I love it as this is such a hyped product. But what I will say is that I feel that it is just everything that you really want in a lipstick. It is extremely pigmented, will stay all day and also is in the most stunning colour.

Charlotte Tilbury - Stoned Rose
This I would say is my more daily lipstick. As you can see it is a gorgeous pinky nude and because of my colouring it really complements basically any makeup look I wear. The other thing I love about this lipstick is it is packed full of ingredients that are actually really good for your lips. You've got to love Charlotte Tilbury for always loving our lips!

Illamasqua - Box
Ahh, the days when I was a fully fledged member of the Illamafia. This is a lipstick that I fell is completely timeless. I always imagine it is the colour Marylin Monroe would wear today if she was alive. It is completely matte and much like Illamasqua's style it will not move all day. Once you put this baby on it will stay on. I believe in it so much now that when I do wear it I don't actually bring the lipstick out with me that day,

Not Again...

1. Do you remember your first makeup item?
This is one of my earliest memories. My very first piece of makeup was given to me by my nan. She took me to Selfridges straight to the Elizebeth Arden counter when I was about 6. She then announced that it was time I tried my first piece of makeup. So she brought me the little gift set they were doing then. I still remember it. It was a little yellow and white stripy box with rounded edges. I took all the makeup home and set it out on my dressing table. Only to wake up the next morning to find my little sister had poured makeup remover on it all.

2. Describe your perfect mascara. Have you found one that fits your specifications?
My perfect mascara is Charlotte Tilbury's 5* lashes.

3. What kind of coverage do you prefer from a foundation?
From any foundation, I want so much coverage that I look like a white canvas. I like my face to look flawless, so I can draw lots of things on top.

4. Favorite high-end brand?

Probably Nars.

5. What cosmetic brands have you always wanted to try but still haven't?
There a quite a few as I am always behind in these things. Probably Jeff Star Cosmetics (I think that's the name)

6. Favorite drugstore brand?

7. Do you wear fake eyelashes?

10. How often do you shop for makeup? Do you like to pick up an item here and there or get lots of goodies at once?
I am a person who always picks things up now and then. I don't shop for makeup often as believe it or not I find the shopping for it a bit boring. So I tend to do it all online.

11. Do you have a "beauty budget" or you spend freely?

If you think I have a budget for anything in my life, you are just fooling yourself. This is why I have no money.

12. Do you utilize coupons, rewards cards, and sales when you shop for cosmetics?

Not really as I always loose whatever coupon I have.

13. What type of product do you buy the most of?
Primers. I am addicted to having a good primer.

MAC. Can't stand it. I think it is very overrated. Overpriced and also I find every single product either too oily or too dry.

Not really. The only thing I always avoid with any product is animal testing.

16. Do you have a favorite place to shop for makeup?

Definitely not. It is the only thing I am good at.

26. Do you use makeup base/primer for the eyes?
Yes!! Why wouldn't you?!

Concealer goes on first. Always

I have taken many by Illamasqua. I love taking lessons and learning new tips and tricks.

The fact that you can be anyone you want to be.

Most wanted

I am obsessed with strange looking jewelry. Within this big obsession is my love for anything with skulls on. So recently I found these little stud earings that have a Vampire skull on from the designer Kasun London. I don't really know why they are called a vampire skull as they don't look like vampires. But I do still love them.

Before Work Prep- Psychic Sundays

There are some days where I do truly forget how strange my life is. Especially my work life. It isn't until I get home at about 10 pm from work, and my little sister makes me my dinner while I tell her about my day that I realise how strange it all sounds.
My shift at work usually starts around 2 pm, so for me, that means I have the entire morning to do what I want which is usually writing and cleaning the house. I then leave home at 12:45 and start my hour and a half trip to Selfridges. I typically order my Starbucks when I am about ten minutes away through their app (best invention in the world) and then start my five-minute walk to Selfridges. Where I then have to sign in go through airport security checks and then walk through the underground walkways to our shop.
As soon as I arrive all my lovely co-workers are there to greet me, and we all have a cup of coffee and talk about our week whilst we set up our rooms. Every reader gets there own room whilst there shift is on, we can move everything around inside to make ourselves more comfy. Once my room is sorted, I usually lay on the healing table and do my opening up and connecting for the day; This usually takes about three minutes. Then I am open shop for the day!

Reincarnation - Psychic Sundays

Since I was a very little girl, I had always believed in reincarnation. Even before I knew what it was. I am sure you all remember my story about my other 'Mummy & Daddy' that I told in an earlier blog post. It is something that has stayed with me my entire life, the idea that this is not it, and we will all be 'resurrected' in the next life into something else.

Now, this may take a bit of explaining about what I believe. I believe there is a Spirit Plane; this is where everyone is from. We have no body's there is no vanity, no judgment. You just are. The Spirit Plane is always where you go back to, instead of 'Dying' you are just back to where you belong. This is how Mediums, Psychics, and Clairvoyants communicate to spirits. We are not communicating with the dead; we just have a little window into this plane. Now we get to the reincarnation part; I believe we get sent down to learn lessons. Each time we get sent down from the Spirit Plane we live a new life and with that new life we learn our life lessons. Then at the 'End' we are asked what we have discovered and are allowed back to the Spirit Plane.
I know this is not a popular belief but it is mine, and I know many Spiritualist belive the same thing. What do you guys believe in? I would love to know

What my Nails are wearing

While on holiday I found a fantastic little Nail bar that do the most amazing nails I have ever seen. The nails are just like ordinary acrylic (in case you don't know I do in fact have acrylic nails) but instead of the art being on top, all the art is in fact encased in the acrylic! I know in the states this is quite a popular thing but over here in the UK I have never in my life seen something like this!! Obviously, I went for my favourite colour scheme which is black and white.

My top 5 Makeup brushes

No matter how good or bad you are at makeup one thing that every makeup enthusiast has in common are the makeup brushes they use. It is something that I feel brings us all together as there is no point in really any makeup without the brush. Yes, I am well aware that you could in fact just use your fingers, but I think that when you do that, you lose the art in it. After all applying makeup is an art form. Just with different medias, the face is the canvas, and your brushes are your tools. Anyone who does not see this as an art form can indeed go away; I'd like to see them try and do cat eyeliner on a model while on the tube. Go on; I dare you. So today I thought I would share with you 'my five makeup brushes' I can not live without.

What brushes can you not live without? I'd love to know (totally not because I need some new brushes).
